A U T H O R

The man all tied up in the chair wouldn't stop yapping and pleading to be set free, promising he'd vanish forever.

In a dimly lit room, a dude in his twenties lounged on the sofa, peeping over his book before rising to approach the man. He gestured to his bodyguard, who handed him a tray of his favorite tools and potions. Choosing the pear of anguish, he glanced at the stiffened bodyguards and the pleading man.

"Grab him."

In line with his command, two hefty bodyguards seized the man, opening his mouth. The guy then shoved the choker pear inside, twisting it, causing blood to gush from his face, drilling into his mouth.

"Isn't this the same mouth which spoke against, Devika Agnihotri?"

He pushed the weapon deeper as the man thrashed his limbs.

Just then, another guy arrived, pouring whiskey for two glasses and handing one to the other.

"Here you go, Aryan."

Aryan released his grip but left the weapon in the man's mouth. He accepted the drink, unbuttoning his shirt with one hand, tossing it aside, then sat on the couch, picking up a book from the table, reading silently.

His elder cousin and brother, Agastya, grabbed rock salt from the cupboards filled with chemicals, placing rocks on the man's cuts. Wearing gloves, he applied drops of acid through the cuts. The man's body vibrated due to the torture.

"It's my turn," Reyansh Maheshwari, Agastya's close friend and right-hand, declared as he leaned in from the door.

"With pleasure," Agastya responded, pouring another glass of whiskey with ice cubes. He settled beside his brother, Aryan, who displayed a range of emotions - smiling, frowning, gasping, and more. A rare sight, only seen when Aryan was deeply engrossed in a book, especially one from a particular author.

Agastya grinned as Aryan picked up his highlighter from the table and marked a specific word.

"What's your quote for today?" a shirtless Reyansh asked, seated between the brothers, taking a puff before sipping his wine.

Aryan cherished stories from this mysterious writer who never revealed their identity. Despite his efforts, he couldn't uncover the author's name. Aryan had a personal library in the Agnihotri mansion dedicated to this author's works. He had a habit of highlighting significant quotes. These books were his solace during the toughest times, when he had no one else. The author began writing in their teenage years.

GR

The author's initials. Aryan glanced at his brothers and read aloud,

"I would move mountains, cross oceans, and face any storm just to see your smile, my heart belongs to you... my brown beauty."

Agastya and Reyansh was loving seeing the expression of their lil bro when he read out those words but they know that it's just fiction and never will it be real, if only they know...

"Bhai! this book is too good I can't wait for part two"

Reyansh playfully smacked Aryan's head, saying, "Idiot, just yesterday this book was released, and you finished reading it in one day."

"I wish I could see this writer and praise him or her. Bhai, for my next birthday just bring GR to my party," Aryan added with excitement.

Agastya exchanged a knowing look with Reyansh upon hearing Aryan's wish. They both understood the longing to meet the mysterious author, despite seven years of unsuccessful attempts to uncover their identity.

Reyansh's brother and Agastya's left hand, Vedant rolled his eyes at Aryan's bookish enthusiasm, enjoying teasing the youngest among them.

"Guys, there was a call from Revati Aunty. We've got to make a move," Vedant informed the group.

They left the room, changed into their office suits, and pressed the button on the door, revealing the office cabin - the hidden torture room within their workplace.

Exiting the cabin and entering the lift, they were greeted by many employees. The female employees were particularly drooling, but the bodyguards swiftly guided them away from the path of their bosses.

Agnihotri Mansion>>>

Meanwhile, at the Agnihotri Mansion, preparations were in full swing for the wedding of Kavya Agnihotri, the only daughter born second after eight generations.

When Kavya was speaking with her mother who was feeding her," it will be the last time I feed you"

"Mom stop being emotional. Also if I need someone to feed I'll aks Reyansh to feed me" she said laughing along with her bade ma.

"Badtameez! Kaun apne hone wala pati ko uske naam se bulate hai?" a loud voice roared from the steps. They looked to find, Devika Agnihotri descending the stairs with the help of her walking stick. (Who calls their future husband by his name?)

"Without calling my future husband name then what should I call? Damad ji? (Son-in-law?)

The ladies widened the eyes at her reply. Her dadi raised her walking stick to hit Kavya in her butt saying,"Pagal ladki" (Crazy girl)

After fake crying and patting her butt she hugged her grandma.

"You will miss me right dadi?" Devika hummed in response caressing her granddaughter's hair.

Kavya smirked and replied," Of course! you wouldn't have anyone to taunt right"

She ran around the house with Dadi chasing her with her stick to beat the ass of her granddaughter. They ran till the garden when Kavya looked behind and walked back saying," Why don't you have both Agastya and Aryan married? So you can have 2 people to taunt dadi." She giggled looking at her grandmother's pissed face. However, the playfulness took a turn as sheย  walked backwards and slipped on the poolside but before Kavya could fall someone saved her.

"Are you okay ma'am?"

Kavya stood up straight and looked to find the event planner who was appointed by her bestfried.

"Ya. Thank yo- WOAH!" she then looked behind to see the gorgeous decoration and the poolside decorated with petals, candles, fairylights and more.

"You are Hema's assistant, right? It's stunning and what's your name?"

"Eesha. Yes, she's my senior and I'll be taking over her work from here. The decorations will be done for the haldi and wedding tomorrow. And thank you!"

โ˜†โ˜†โ˜†โ˜†โ˜†โ˜†

Later that night>>>

Since the wedding will take place at Agnihotri mansion, the Maheshwari family was also staying there. They were having dinner when Samrath Agnihotri praised, "The decorations today are done flawlessly compared to the engagement, sangeet, and mehendi. You should have Hema continue this."

Kavya, with her mouth full, shaked her head and replied, "Pa...pa.. it's not.. my.." she coughed and Reyansh patted her head and helped her drink water by his hand.

"Slowly," she flashed a toothy grin at him, which always made his heart flutter and continued, "It's my friend's assistant. She looks so young, Papa but look at her talent."

The landline kept ringing, and the maid answered it, "Ma'am, it's for you," she said, passing the phone to Malika Agnihotri.

"Hello-" upon hearing the voice on the other end, Malika's eyes widened and she clenched her hand in her saree. Sweat dripped from her forehead, and she started feeling nervous as Agastya pulled the landphone out from her drip.

He grit his teeth and the family members got startled when his voice echoed,"Don't you dare enter to our house, Shyam Agnihotri"

He threw the phone and picked the vase and threw it straight on the family portrait. The family members knew who exactly could make Agastya angry and it was the reason he changed too.

Devika looked at the direction where her daughter-in-law was trembling in fear and her grandson who left to his room followed by Aryan.

She looked at the huge portrait of her late husband and question,"Didn't you say he will be the King and make us proud? but her turned out to bring all of us down"

"Dadi, everything will be alright" Kavya said confronting her grandmother along with her mother, Tara Agnihotri.

โ˜†โ˜†โ˜†โ˜†โ˜†โ˜†

"It's their 5000 murder" a guy said banging his hand in the desk.

The girl who was sitting beside him looked at the pictures of the two and tored the picture in middle," If we have to bring them down, first we have to break this brothers bond."

The boy was shocked and he said," Do you think it'll happen?"

"Deepak didn't you just last week have a fight with your brother?"

He rolled his eyes and mentioned," it's just we liked the same girl, Navya. They aren't ordinary brothers to fight about girls."

"We can. Just find their weakness, and I wouldn't back down until I make the Agnihotris downfall. I'm an ACP, and I wouldn't leave them. It's my promise," Navya confidently stated.

"It's impossible to deal with Agnihotri Brothers," a guy who was next to Deepak commented before leaving the room.

"Is that a challenge? Then see you tomorrow," Navya smirked, looking at the guy's fading figure. She then dialed a number and spoke, "Ek kaam hai jo tumhe karna hai" (There's a job you have to do)
